Scott Taylor
Scott Taylor – Striker (5 May 1976) Prodigal son who returned to the Club in November 2008, thirteen years after embarking on a long and successful pro-career. Born up the road in Chertsey, he quickly progressed through the ‘Swans’ youth ranks and made over 30 senior appearances before signing for Millwall in a Club record deal in 1995. Scoring twice for the ‘Lions’ at Goodison Park to dump Everton out of the League Cup, his stock quickly rose and Bolton Wanderers (then managed by Bruce Rioch) paid £150,000 for his signature in March 1996. A consistent career in the Football League saw him play for Tranmere Rovers, Stockport County, Blackpool and Plymouth Argyle before being signed by Paul Ince at MK Dons in 2006. During his earlier career, he was the League Two top scorer for Blackpool and appeared in the League Cup Final at Wembley for Tranmere versus Leicester City in 2000. racking up further Football League games, whilst on short stints with the likes of Rochdale and Brentford he first dropped into the non-league game with Grays Athletic midway through last season before beginning the current campaign with Lewes. Scott scored within 20 minutes of his return debut for the ‘Swans’ at Margate in November. He went on to complete a fairytale return by scoring the dramatic extra-time winning goal to secure promotion.
