  Club History

Formed in 1885, they were founder members of Sussex County League in 1920 winning it in 65 and joining the Athenian League, winning Div 2 in 68 and Div 1 in 70. They joined the Isthmian league in 77, promoted to div 1 in 80. Relegated in 91 bouncing back a year later, successive relegations saw them in div 3 in 94/95. Div Two was won in 02 and Div One South in 03 and won play-off to enter conf south. Lewes missed out on the play-offs in their first 2 season due to ground grading but with Ground work done won the league the season after. More..
