  Club History

Havant fc formed in 1883, thay merged with Leigh Park FC in 69 & entered Hampshire League in 70. In 77 the team reached the first div and in 82 moved into Westleigh Park becoming founder members of the Wessex League in 86, promoted to the Southern League in 91, where Waterlooville had been since 71, formed in 1905 they yo-yoed between the southern and premier divs through the 80s. In 93 the team came 11th in the premier, but in the following years relegation and money problems meant considering a merger with rivals Havant Town. After a successful first season the combined team topped the Southern Div and gained promotion to the Premier. More..
