  Club History

Founded in 1880, Town participated in the Dorset Western Leagues before joining the Southern League in 72. They were promoted to Premier Div in 78 and were champions of the restructured Southern Div in 79-80 before losing promotion playoff to Midland Div Champions Bridgend Town. In 1982 Town were placed in re-established Premier Div before relegation to the Southern Div in 84, gaining promotion in 86/87. They were relegated to the Eastern Div in 2001, before promotion as Champions in 2003.
