  Club History

Basingstoke Town was formed in 1896, entering the Hampshire League in 1901. The club moved to its present ground which is named after its benefactor, Lord Camrose in 1946. The club joined the Southern League in 71/72 winning the Southern Division in 84/85. A couple of years later, the club moved across to the Isthmian League but a disastrous first season saw the club relegated, the following year promotion was achieved. More..
